Submission Process
How do I submit my photos or videos to the platform?
If you head to our contributor portal, there is a helpful mesage to take you step by step to upload your work! Get in touch if you're really stuck.
Are there specific requirements for file formats, sizes, or resolutions? Is there a review process, and how long does it typically take?
We only accept high-resolution images with a minimum resolution of 4K. For videos, we exclusively consider 4K content. Additionally, we prefer videos with a light-grade touch to enhance visual quality.
Video Length:
Our platform values concise and impactful storytelling. Therefore, we accept videos that are a minimum of 5 seconds and a maximum of 1 minute in length.
Review Process:
Every submission goes through a meticulous review process to ensure the highest quality and adherence to our standards. The duration of the review process may vary, but we strive to provide timely feedback. We appreciate your patience and commitment to maintaining the excellence of our curated collection.
If you're assets are not accepted please do not take this personally, it may be that it was just not a good fit for our portfolio at this moment. We would love for you to re submit and try again with other work! We are so grateful that you've taken the time to do so!
Content Guidelines
Preferred and Prohibited Themes:
We exclusively accept images and videos featuring the Isle of Wight. While we celebrate the diversity of the island, we do not accept adult content, anything with a political affiliation, or content depicting violence. Additionally, we refrain from featuring religious videos or photos on our platform.
Model and Property Releases:
To ensure a smooth submission process, we require both model releases and property releases for all content featuring recognizable individuals or private property. This helps us maintain transparency and adhere to legal and ethical standards.
Content Types:
Contributors are welcome to submit both photos and videos showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of the Isle of Wight. We encourage diversity in perspectives and creative approaches to bring the island's essence to life.

Listen, I haven't got the time to upload all my assets, what's my options?
We are really glad you asked. If you've not got the time to upload all your assets we have a solution for you. Typically we will give our contributors 30% of every sale as commission. If however you are looking to get on our site, but don't have the time, we will list your assets for 20% commission and give the additional 10% to one of our collaborators. When you then see the success of uploading to the site and think "Snap, I should have just done this myself" don't worry we do then offer a buy back fee for you to consider to regain the 30% commission.
This is a really exciting feature we are proud of as no other stock site will offer such an easy way for you to get your portfolio online and selling.
I've shot some footage on the National Trust land, can I submit that?
This is a difficult topic to cover. We are currently in talks with the National Trust to allow our contributors to be able to shoot on their land and upload to this site. However sadly these talks are still in progress.

For the time being, we do not offer legal advice but the following statements are facts under UK law. You can shoot on public land, such as roads and council owned land. As creatives we have the Freedom of panorama,
Article 62 . Which enables us to shoot wherever as long as we are on public land. with the exception of Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace.
We suggest you seek your own legal advice if you wish to, however many of our contributors have found success by shooting from the shoreline (Owned by His majesty the King), the Sea, or from public land.
We are keeping an open dialogue with the National trust, and sincerely hope they mark some amendments for the local creatives on the Island. We'd love to partner with the National trust to change the face of marketing the Island forever.
Licensing Terms
Types of Licenses and Usage Rights:
We offer general commercial licenses for Europe and the US. If you're outside of these jurisdictions, please reach out to us to discuss licensing options. The licenses provided grant buyers the right to use the content for commercial purposes within the specified guidelines.
Reselling Licenses:
We do not offer resell licenses on the site. If a customer expresses interest in redistributing your work as a paid product, we will contact you to discuss the opportunity. Your preferences and terms will be negotiated on your behalf to ensure your comfort and satisfaction.
Usage Outside of the Platform:
You are free to use and sell your content outside of our platform without any restrictions. We don't require exclusivity, and contributors have the flexibility to showcase their work elsewhere.

Payment and Payouts:
Payment Process:
Contributors can expect payments to be processed on the first of each month.
Payment Method:
Earnings will be transferred via PayPal, offering a secure and convenient method for receiving payments.
Minimum Payout Threshold:
To ensure efficiency, there is a minimum payout threshold set at £25. Once a contributor's earnings reach or exceed this amount, they will receive their payment in the next payment cycle.

Promotion and Visibility:

Removing Your Assets:
If contributors wish to remove their assets from the platform, we completely understand. We kindly request a 12-week notice to facilitate a smooth transition. Please note that while we cannot retract previous purchases made by customers, we respect your decision, and we'd be sad to see you go. Your contributions have been valued, and we appreciate the creativity you've brought to our platform. If you have any specific concerns or reasons for removal, feel free to reach out, and we'll do our best to address them.
Analytics and Performance:
You can easily track the performance of your submissions, including views, downloads, and sales, through the Contributor Dashboard. All the analytics and insights you're looking for can be conveniently accessed there. Affiliate Sales:
We're thrilled that you're interested in selling on IOW Stock's behalf. Our affiliate program is designed to be rewarding and generous. You'll earn a 20% commission for every sale you bring in, and this includes subscriptions. If you refer a customer who subscribes, you'll receive a commission from their subscription every month.
Additionally, if you achieve a sales volume of over £1000 in one month, your commission rate will be elevated to 30% for all sales. As a contributor, you retain the copyright and intellectual property rights to your content. By uploading your work to our platform, you grant us a license to distribute and sell your content, but you still maintain ownership of the intellectual property.

In the event of potential copyright infringement, we take this matter seriously. Our platform is committed to promptly investigating and addressing any reported cases of infringement.
